Hybrid Chain of Command & Holacratic Governance
We are incorporating a hybrid of two types of organization models to manage the SpaceRanch organization.
Chain of Command enables a multi tiered membership management which functions in a top down hierarchy, where critical roles and responsibilities are delegated based on rank.
Holacratic Governance enforces collaborative principles within each rank designation, and distributes authority and decision-making through a holarchy of self-organizing teams.
The SpaceRanch has five ranks: Cadet, Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, and Captain. Within each rank is a set of roles and corresponding tasks or bounties that members can engage with.
Delegation of Roles
Higher ranks can directly delegate roles and tasks to lower ranks
Lower ranks can propose roles and tasks to be assigned to higher ranks
